Dr.
Celio Burrowes
Is a
fellow of the American College of Surgeons and
is a member of the American Society of Bariatric
Surgery. He
holds membership i the Medical Association of
Georgia, the Atlanta Medical Association and is
on the staff of several hospitals in the Atlanta
area. He is a member of the Board of
Advisors of the American Centers for Age
Management Medicine. In addition, he is a member
of the Board of Directors for the Georgia
Network to Sexual Assault.

 Dr.
Dennis Smith
Has
been doing bariatric surgery since 1997, when he
practiced in Biloxi, MS. In 1999 he began
developing a technique for the biliopancreatic
diversion with
Duodenal Switch to be done
completely laparoscopically, which he first
performed in November, 1999. He moved from
Biloxi to Marietta, Georgia in late 1999. Having
put together the elements of a bariatric surgery
program with the highest possible standards, Dr.
Smith in June, 2002 formed his own practice
devoted exclusively to bariatric surgery, in
order to better serve the morbidly obese
population.
With a comprehensive bariatric surgery program
offering laparoscopic
Roux-en-Y Gastric
Bypass and Biliopancreatic
Diversion with
Duodenal Switch, the
Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, as
well as the
LAP-BAND®, Dr. Smith is
one of only a handful of bariatric surgeons that
regularly performs all four of these operations
completely laparoscopically. He has done well
over a thousand bariatric operations, with
excellent short and long-term results.
 
Dr. Reginald Williams
Earned his medical
degree from Meharry Medical College School of
Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed
his general surgery residency at both University
of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky and Grady
Memorial Hospital through Morehouse School of
Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Williams also
completed an Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric
fellowship at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls
Church, Virginia. Dr. Williams is a member of
the Society of the American Society of Metabolic
and Bariatric Surgery, Laparoendoscopic
Surgeons, Georgia Chapter-American College of
Surgeons, American College of Surgeons,
Southeastern Surgical Congress, American Medical
Association, and National Medical Association.
Dr. Williams is board certified in General
Surgery and is accepting new patients.
 
Dr. Michael Williams

Attended the University of Maryland where he
graduated Magma Cum Laude with a bachelor’s
degree in biology. He was awarded the University
of Maryland Alumni Award, certificate of
academic achievement and the National Collegiate
Natural Science Award. He earned his medical
degree from West Virginia University School of
Medicine.
Dr. Williams received his
surgical training at the Brooklyn Hospital
Center where he was awarded the laparoscopic
resident of the year award and was also awarded
a scholarship for achieving the highest score in
the resident in-training exam. He continued his
training with a minimally invasive surgery
fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston, Texas. His laparoscopic skills are
exemplified by his awards in the laparoscopic
skills shoot out competition at the American
College of Surgeons Clinical Congress in 2001
and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and
Endoscopic Surgeons meeting in 2002.
